The benefit of education
From the beginning of the history all religions and
wise men encourage people to learn new things to improve and develop their life
or others lives by learning new things, new technology that will develop all
nations and make life much easier.
In the Islamic Hadith, Prophet Mohammed said, “Ask for
the science from your birth to the death” and other said, “Ask for knowledge
even if it is in China.” and, Brain Tracy the famous writer and motivator says,
“Knowledge is power.” I totally agree with all the sayings. Therefore, dear students
do not stop at one point. Try to learn as much as possible, because life can
become much faster and much enhanced. Every second there are new things being launched in our life: new science,
new theory, and new technologies?
Every
year millions of books are published. To see yourself: Ask yourself, “How many
books do you read every year?"
(Maybe you will be disgraced
with the answer)
Are you one of those students
who does not care or read until the previous night of exams?
Are you one of those who
prefer the ready reports from the net and copy it without any effort?
Are you one of those who
rarely visit the library to read other recourses?
Are you one of those who don’t
like to visit book exhibitions to seek for new knowledge?
Dear student...
What are we going to do in
front of this huge exploration of information (as I can say)? Are we going to
watch it happening with taking benefits of it?
Are we going to be stranded
in our place whilst the rest of the world is moving ahead?
You should ask yourself these
questions if you want to understand what is happening around you. Maybe
you will assess the level of knowledge you have obtained.
Dear reader, if you want to
reach to your merit you should take care of your education, you should start
improving yourself every day. Try to read and learn new things every day. This
will help you in many ways in your life like:
§
Give more understanding to your subject
knowledge.
§ Provide you more
information about life.
§
Help you to improve in your thinking
process
§ Help you to analyze
the information and give you a chance to compare the information you have.
§ Provide you with
other’s experience that will enrich your personality and it will reflect in
your life.
Thus, we
can understand the importance of continuous learning and improve our selves. To
do that you mostly should read the books. Whatever courses we have, it’s mostly
from books. At university, we learn from books, if we attend course we get the
information, which is mainly from the books. So, dear readers we have no
choice. We have to read books whether it is printed books or e-book which is
now available everywhere. We can buy it from bookshops, the net or visit
libraries, which are near to our living place. The other way is to use the
audio books or educational videos, which benefit us in our learning process.
Also, it will boost our knowledge and make our study easier. In addition, it
will give us the help we need to solve our homework and finishing our
assignment.
Dear student, whatever may be
your age or position, you still need to learn, to improve your personality. You
need to learn new skills that will help you to live a better life. It will help
you to deal with others and get better chances in the surrounding environment.
You do not know when you are going to need this knowledge: maybe you will need
it to deal with family, spouse, children, and friends or at work with
colleagues. There is always a need for new information every time and every
place in the world.
I remember, when I was in
France in 2008, I was studying French language. There was one old woman from
Spain; I think she must have been over 60. She was wearing glasses
and had a medical bandage wrapped on her ankle. She was walking very slowly
with her crutches due her age. She was a very patient woman. She used to come
to the class very early and never late to any class .One day I decided to ask
her why she was here, coming all the way leaving her family and coming to study
at this age. She told me that she is coming to learn French to help her
grandsons because they are studying the French language in school. She said
that she wanted to tutor them.
Actually, I admire her; I
liked her passion and the determination she had for helping. I think she is a
great woman. Even at this age, she has a goal in her life: she is trying to
leave a role in her family before she leaves this world and this is a
noble goal in her life. People will not forget such a great woman in their
lives.
There are many great stories
like this woman in the modern and ancient history, stories of people who fought
until the end of their lives to learn and to serve others. Now, it is our turn
to take this mission of learning and education to increase the level of
creativity, to bring the development in the human being and to make life easy
for others. We should do this with passion and love in all sciences. To bring
to this world more people like; Albert Einstein,
Thomas Edison, Avicenna, Alkhwarizmi or any scientist who brought the
change in our lives by his discovery and inventions. This will happen if we
consider the sciences as a need to us like water and food. We should take it
with interest and enjoy it. So we go beyond on it and keep improving in our
journey. One interesting thing I heard from my cousin who was studying (oil
& gas engineering) at Sultan Qaboos University in Sultanate of Oman. When I
asked him about his study and what he is taking in his class, he told me about
a subject in which they study on how to discover oil and how the oil is
formed over the ages and how people look for it and discover it. He
explains it as an interesting subject matter that makes me want to know more
about it. I admired the way at how he looked at the subject. He liked the
subject that is why he is enjoying it. When I told him how much I enjoyed about
his way of explaining this subject and how easy he made it for me, when it is
supposed to be a weighty subject. He told me about his friend who came to
ask him about this field because he wants to join and how he had convinced him
to join the course since he was excited about it. His friend told him that he
was the only one who had explained it to him so easily and made him like it,
wherein the others were looking at it as a difficult field of study.
Dear readers, see the difference between these two
concepts. How we can look at thing from different angles. We can either make it
easy or difficult it which is all about us. So choose the easy way and keep
learning with enjoyment and love.
